The Midlands gives me hope for the future of customising. Over the last few years I’ve watched from the cheap seats as the custom scene has not only grown, but thrived in the middle of this sceptred isle. Some people in this area build parts and bikes for a living; others create as a sideline to a ‘proper’ job. These guys often help each other out, or work together in various combinations, as part of what has become a busy custom building community, quietly turning out fine bikes, several of which have graced the pages of BSH in the past.
